Formatting a WD Elements 1.5 TB Drive for Mac [Solved/Closed]

Hello,
I just bought a Western Digital WD Elements 1.5 TB External hard drive, and I'm running a MacBook Pro with OS X Version 10.6.2. I'm wondering how I reformat the hard drive, which comes from the factory formatted for PC's. I'm not very computer savvy, so if someone could run me through this step by step it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
GCS

Thanks Paulina - Clear and Easy.
If only WD put that in the box!!
Perfect! It worked first try! <3 I was so afraid it just wasn't compatible with my old mac.
Everything you need to know, clearly explained. Would not have found it without your help though - wish WD would signpost the resource more (a bit?) clearly.
