PROBLEM WITH DVD/CD ROM Closed

Hello,
i have a problem with my dvd/cd rom.i can read and write cd's but i could not read dvd's.i have the driver cd.i do have reinstalled it many times but in vain.please suggest me a solution...............

this doesnt come from a software problem but rather a harware problem. there is a lifetime on the dvd rom and hence when it comes to that end it will make these kinds of errors i would recommend that you change it and also dvd roms arent that expensive.
