Most laptops have a dedicated enable/disable touchpad in some cases there's a specific keyboad shortcut normally (fn key + the key having a small mouse icon grayed-out)
But this can also be achieved manually:
Start/ControlPanel/Mouse/
In the last Tab "Device Settings" you'll have your touchpad model: Synaptics Touchpad V....
And you should get a Disable just below.
