My laptop screen is messing up..how do i fix

My laptop screen it wont show the picture all it shows is a bunch of different color lines depending on what is suppose to be on the screen....but when i hooked it up to an external monitor it showed up fine with no problems....and my laptop is an acer travel mate 2480 series...help!!!!!

This means your laptop's screen is faulty!

It must get replaced by a professional
