Hard disk problem

seagate 160 gb sata hard disk is connected properly but not recognized in bios,
and give the result is insert Disk or check cable, please friends how to diagonise that,

Hi there,

Please check the ide/sata cable from motherboard to hard disk also if power is supplied to it.IF required change the cable also the power supply(molex).
