Hardrive broke after switching between pc/mac

Hiya, ive been using my WD320GB passport in my windows vista laptop for ages, today i plugged it into a mac to transfer some files to my laptop, but now the drive won't work, it makes 'my computer' freeze, i've already gone into device manger & uninstalled the usb drivers & reinstalled them fine, but still no drive comes up in 'my computer', it just freezes...

There must be a simple solution to fixing this as the only reason it started is cause i plugged it into a mac

Id really really appreciate some help with this

I should add that sometimes after a while it shows up as a drive 'F:' in 'my computer', but its still frozen & will go to (not responding) if i click on it, before the drive was call G: as far as i remember
