Office 2007 registration problem

I tried to install my legal copy of microsoft office 2007 student edition put in the key and it says to register online. all normal so far. when i told it too i get amessage saying it has been installed the max number of times. I reloaded my laptop from scratch (replace drive) how do i get around this error so it will unlock the features?

You can call the Microsoft registration phone number. Tell them you have replaced the hard drive and they will give you a new key over the phone.
