I can't play condition zero on steam servers?

Hello everyone!

I downloaded CS condition zero and I did not buy it. Its actually the pirated one. And the problem now is that:

i started the game and clicked on "play online using steam" and it got the steam installed. When I clicked on the steam shortcut icon on the desktop it says "checking for steam updates" and after sometime I get this message:

"Error: could not connect to steam servers".

How do I fix it? Please help me. I like to play on steam. Waiting for the replies..

Cause steam is only for the official game, the one you buy

You must leave the window of Steam open and don't play until it completes the update. Then add the CS to games library in Steam and play from there. It worked for me.

but there is no pop up of games library I do have the same problem please help me
