blank screen on dell dimension e310 Closed

Question

I'm not computer savy, heck lets just say I'm a dummy when it come to computers. my desk top  goes black after dell logo and windows xp attepts to start, need help and i need the explanation told to me like I'm a 10 year old, please help???
