Sata hard drive

Hi this is brown from gambia
i have a laptop campaq latest model and it was having vista but this week it got problem and now i wanted to boot and istall Xp2 but when i installing the xp its saying hard disk not found or unknown hard disk but in Bios i check the hard drive self test hard drive is good in condition its also indicating in the hard ware list and even i replaced a new hard disk (SATA hard drive hitachi) but the same message may be i think XP need the additional software (Driver) to identify the hard drive to the Xp i dont know

what do you think about it and what is the solution for it please help me
