Well firstly its not XP SP2 the responsible, most probably its the person who installed the printer software!
Make sure to uninstall anything concerning the printer on your computer.
Reinstall them in a proper way even to full installation to make sure you didn't missed a path of the installation!
Should be good then after! I really hope :)
