Old Password on linksys router

I have an Linksys router model BEFW11S4 Version 4 and can't reset my old password. Router works fine when it's unsecured but as soon as I enable security I can't connect anymore. It's says trying to obtain IP address.

Also my old password which is 16 characters can't be reset. every time I try to restore factory defaults it doesn't reset the password.

Any help will be appreciated.

There should be a little reset button on the back of the router. If you hold that reset button for at least 10 seconds, it should reset everything including the password back to default system settings. If that doesnt work, go to Google and type in resetting BEFW11S4 router password.

But holding down the reset button should work for you.
