Combo reading cd but not movie and data dvd

I have windows xp,and I have problems with combo drive, cd reading all kinds of very fine,but dvd some kinds of cbt reading with dvd player,but data and movie format not reading even not detecting dvd icon,......i dont know whats the problems software or hardware issue ?....... here every one asking question but no one givin answer........any one positive to help

Hi there,

Its the drive and you need to update its firmware version in device manager.

Cant find my CD/DVD ROM driver after trying to fix it

Hello,

I noticed my CD/DVD drive was missing in my file explorer so I went searching for some online help I tried uninstalling the drives as advised online and clearing the registry as instructed earlier in Matt's page regarding jacko468's similar issue in here but the problem wasn't solved I still cant find my CD/DVD ROM driver on my windows 10 hp laptop. Please HELP

Hello folks,
I don't know how does it start,actually..
I use PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-217..My pc hasn't been a year..
It's unable to write any DVD,and maybe CD too..
I check in divice manager..and it says:
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
if uninstall and reinstall the device can fix this problem??

Corel Draw: Error Reading file problem

Hello,

I have a group of files that I cannot open in CorelDraw. They were created a long time ago in Corel Draw 7.0 on a computer with windows 98. I re-installed Corel Draw 7.0 on my computer with windows2000 and now I get the error message "error reading /..../XXX.file CDR"
On the most critical file are loaded to 40% and then appears an error message. I can basically upload and store new files without any problems, but some (but not all) old files will be unreadable. I found an old hard drive and installed windows98 and CDR does not affect this. Also I installed the driver for the printer that (I think) has been used then no effect. Any suggestion ?
