model of mobo ?
is this the only sata drive?
have you checked the cable is securely fitted?
try turning the sata cable around. i know its clutching at straws for that one but i had a similar issue, when i turned the data cable around it worked.
tried the drive on another sata channel.
try it on your boot drive channel to see if its picked up.
