Hardwiring XBox thru D-Link Router

I just hardwired our xbox to our D-Link router. Question is... what do I do now? The xbox is coming back with a message saying it is not able to connect to the Internet. I have a feeling there is some setting on the router that I need to change but I really have no idea. Any suggestions?
