Check that you have correctly installed RAM and clean the contacts on the RAM eraser.

you had a wireless network adapter problem and your friend messed with the ram......
Anyway after checking (not with your friend) that the ram is installed properly and cleaned, just do a hard reset, remove power, batter hold computers power button for 60 seconds reconnect power and see if that has any effect.
