How do I access my songs from my account

Hello,

My problem is when I log into my account from different computers I cannot see my purchased items why is this? For example after opening my itunes account I purchased a song, I then flew home a different country and tried to use my mother laptop to access my account but when i logged in I cannot see my purchased items in the list although they appear as purchased under account settings. How do I access my songs from my account it's like logging into your email in a different country and not being able to see your emails.

HELP what do I do.
