You might be able to run your anti-virus software in "safe mode" or you can try to rename the anti-virus "exe" file to a new name like "pgm.exe". That might allow you run the programs.

when you start the PC hit F8 multiple times before Windows starts. That should get Windows to start in "safe mode".

It let me run malwarebytes in safe mode last night thanks. It took about an hour to scan my machine, the pop ups have stoped. It removed about 11 trojans & stuff. However my internet explorer still isn't working? it fine if I use firefox but not explorer? can you help?
