Computer does not show anything on monitor

Hello,
I recently Got a comp. and i messed with the settings to try to get my sound on. i saw high performance, clicked it and then it said restart to take effect. Now i get absolutly nothing. i cannot see anything. PLEASE HELP!!!

Have you restart your computer? press F8 when booting up (before windows screen logo appear) and choose boot from VGA mode... then change your display properties to low resolution... etc. 800x600
