Hello,
I have an interesting problem, I have a DELL Inspiron 8200 It has a Gforce 440 built in graphics adapter, and EVERYTHING is in working condition... RAM, Motherboard, Video, Hard drive, battery, and Display. Here is the problem, I put another display on it and windows doesn't like it... it boots and runs well in safe-mode/VGA Mode but as soon as you make any changes to the graphics settings... it goes black, windows still running, lights still blinking, plugged in an external monitor, everything is still fine. What I believe to be the problem, is the display that I put in is not 100% compatible with the video driver. I can boot from a CD to an other operating system, and change resolutions and color depth with no problem (CD boot disk is UBCD4WIN)

I think I have pretty much covered everything, What would help would be a generic video driver that supports higher resolutions and color depth, but I have been unable to find one. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You need a generic video driver for the chipset on the video card. I should not be hard to find.

Good Luck
