AVG good enough? Closed

Hello,

My AVG 7.5 runs out in a week and I am considering installing the free download. Will it give me sufficient cover on xp ? I put it on my wife's laptop, but that runs vista, which (apparently) has 'in house' security.

Hello,

This is an evaluation program.It will be finished, you will lose the automatic update and the protection resident of AVG Anti-Spyware.
On Xp or On Vista, AVG Anti-Spyware, isn't sufficient.
You must also have an antivirus and one avoids active and up to date fire.

What are antivirus which are installed on your PC and on the PC of your wife?

Im not a fan of AVG but like melana says up, ESEt Smart Security - Its New !! Check this out. It is actually the most perfectioned antivirus ware on market

AVG is FREE man.. and it performs well for a single home pc :O)
But in fact, the FREE version is limited on effective tools loL u gotta find another better one.. or mix firewalls, antivus and other free security tools :-) byee

or still you can try avast.com (i use avast, really good)
it's free for personal computer and non-commercial
