Wireless works, wired does not

Hello,

I recently had to reformat my hard drive and now I cannot connect to the internet.
I have a laptop and a desktop both set up on the wireless network, and a desktop that connects to the router directly. I have tried all troubleshooting FAQs I could find, but nothing works.

I have a Lynksys G router and a cable modem if that helps

Hi there,

Did you install network controller driver?Please check in device manager to conform it,if so use driver cd and install it .

Thanks for the response. The driver CD would crash at 15%. So after a long search I found the drivers. I don't remember having to do that the first time I installed XP
