Realtek hd audio 5.1 surround sound problem

Hello,
I have a weird problem. I just got windows 7 and updated my sound card drivers. Now I have a problem which I had before but I solved it in some way ( don't remember how) :P.
The realtek sound manager recognizes my 5.1 system when I test it, but when I play something on limewire there is just sound coming out from the two side speakers.
Then if I chose an environment sound effect it starts coming from all speakers.
I have all computer audio settings on 5.1, any idea what problem could be?

the funny thing is that the surround sound works perfectly with games and movies, but not with limewire or windows media player...

Have you considered updating your realtek drivers? Because i had similar problem with my 2.1 stereo when i installed windows 7.
