by network key, do you mean the one protecting the network (like for example, the wep?) if yes, then no. My wifi cannot detect any network, that's my problem.

Yes,thats the one If you cannot detect a network then there is either no network in your area, a fault on your router or a faulty wireless adapter.
By what you said (Quote there is a ! in from of my network adaptater in the list.) this means that there is a problem with your Atheros adapter I would think you have the wrong driver for that model adapter. Check the number of the adapter Example if your adapter is a WN620G make sure you download the driver for a WN620G and not a WN621G or any other model.
Try that and come back if you need to

You say you have an Atheros adapter is it a usb adapter, wireless card or internal what?.
The model number should be on the adapter
I would think it is your internal adapter. You could purchase a usb wreless adapter which I think are better and give a better signal.
However go on to this site http://www.atheros.cz/ Look for the number of your adapter and download the drivers. This link should be the driver for the presario c700 but check before downloading.
I assume you tried turning on your wireless adapter going to settings/devices and deleting the device and shutting down. Reboot and reinstall the device in the first instance.

actually, atheros is the driver I had before if I'm not mistaken, and the one I have installed now, but I don't know the brand of my hardware.
Yes I did, didn't work...

Did you try deleting and reinstalling as suggested.
Your internal wireless adapter is on the base of your laptop take off the cover and check that both wires are connected you will also find the brand and information on the adapter.
Your adapter may be damaged you need to try another adapter.
Check that the adapter is listed in system devices
