I have a HP ze5600 Laptop that a friend gave me. I am trying to get XP back up and on it, but when I try to run the setup I keep getting a hard disc not found error. I tried to go into the bios and change the settings, but none of them work, and it keeps saying there is no hard disc. Help?????

go to BIOS and search for IDE configuration option --> there you can find

configure SATA as " here select standard IDE" and then save the settings --> restart your laptop.

or

download the sata drivers and slipstream the sata drivers into XP

Where can I get the sata drivers? I've tried changing all the settings in the bios and it still will not see a hard drive. I have the original recovery disks and they aren't helping either.....
