My camera is being troubling!!

Hello,
I have a sony camera and it worked before, once i put my memory card into my computer, copied a few pictures and then took it out and once i put it back into the camera it said it required formatting and once i click format it says it cannot be read. I have tried a blank memory card too, and it shows up the same.
