Windows 7 networking problem.
Closed
Hello,
Setting up Windows 7 networking capabilities was a breeze...at first. After about a day, the network on the Windows 7 computer stopped recognizing the XP desktop, but the XP still recognizes the windows seven on its network.
I want to know how to get the Windows 7 computer to recognize the Windows XP.

Try turning off the firewall, specially if you have an antivirus where it controls your subnet network.
I suggest you turning disabling windows firewall and any other type of firewall application that you have, then do the following:
widowns flag key + r or start --> run --> cmd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
and make sure that you are using obtain mode in you tcp/ip configuration on your network adapter.
Try connecting any other computer or laptop and check if its going to work, you need to identify if this problem from your computer side only or from the router it self.
