Itunes won't open

Hello,
I just want my iTunes to automatically open when I plug my iPod in. I've tried the autoplay options, but iTunes isn't appearing as one of the options, only my documents. It DOES show up in 'My Computer', but iTunes won't open automatically. It does still open, and iTunes does still recognize my iPod, but it won't open when the iPod is plugged in. I DO have the box checked that says 'Open iTunes when this iPod is attached.'
I recently had my computer cleaned due to a virus, and many of my other settings were erased as well. I don't know how to set this one back. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

If Itunes wont open at ALL, there might the problem that the virus scanner deleted Itunes or Quicktime files.. -> http://itunes.wont-open.com/Itself/
