Wanting to buy pre-paid broadband?

Hello,
I am at going to the outback and wanting to take my laptop what do i need to do to have this work. At the moment we use the laptop as a second computer at home so its wireless but i want to know what i would need to buy to have it work in other places other then at home.
Any info would help me
