Samsung Code metropcs locked,can't enter pw

Hello, I have a samsung code from metro pcs. my phone is locked and it won't allow me to enter the password, only the number keys work, letters don't work. I tried pressing the key to change to letters and it won't work either, so I can't enter the password to open the phone from lock mode.

I tried resetting it, by turning on the phone and pressing the soft left key and return key at the same time, but that dosen't work either.
