Laptop sound on TV with HDMI cable but no pic

Hello,

I have my laptopwith (Windows 7 prof) hooked up to my TV with a HDMI cable. I get sound but only a Windows logo on my TV. I use Widows Media Center and have tried all sorts of settings. I used an legal DVD to test.
Can anybody help?

Hi

Thanks for the quick response. I had a look, but no, it doe'sn't solve my problem. The thing is that I have a Windows 7 logo on my TV screen and I can hear the sound, so I know the laptop is connected. I'm trying several movie files just to see anything on the TV.

Hello

I got it, just now reloaded the ATI drivers again and this time the HDMI driver is there. Nice picture on the TV now.
