I am also getting a boot error on Windows XP, although once it gets to the blue screen, it gives me an unmount disk error - at least that's what I think it reads, as the screen only flashes then goes back to the black start-up option screen. I attempted to use the recovery disk, but then got a partition error, which I have no idea what to do at that point. Is it possible the internal components are not connected correctly. My dog did knock it off my couch! :)
