Dear Jacknoob,
Please get to your Device Manager and check whether its driver should not be updated in order to get free of the trouble.
Thanks in advance.

Hi JackNoob,
The following are some reasons for blinking.
1) Bad pysical connection.
Check all the connections.
2) May be because of input voltage.
Try connecting your monitor on a different electric outlet
3) Corrupted Drivers.
Install your display drivers.
4) Check your screen refreshing rate.
Go to "Settings" option in "Display Properties" window--->Click on "Advanced"
button ---->click on "Monitor" tab-->Check your "Screen refresh rate" --->
reduce the value. Try changing to 60Hertz
5) Set your screen resolution to 1024X768 and check whether the problem
exists or not. ( Don't cross the your monitor resolution limit)
If the problem still exists try this 1.
Follow these steps.
1) When you switch ON your computer, keep pressing "F8" key to get "Windows
Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears click on "Esc" key and keep
pressing F8 key)
2) Select the option "Enable VGA Mode" and press enter.
3) Then re-install your "Display Drivers".
