HP Pavillion DV2000 Laptop problem

Hello,



My HP Pavillion DV2000 Laptop powers on, but does not boot (any more). I'm curious as to what might be the problem... my hard-drive, motherboard,or fan. S.O.S

Are you able to see the bios and access it?

when the computer boots up, you should get an option to push the F1 key on your keyboard. push it when you first see it and it should access your bios setup program. once there you should have a screen telling you the hard drive (if it is seen) and whether it is the master (0) or the slave (1). if it is setup there then you can move on and use your windows cd and restore like normal.
