Hello,

I just bought a acer aspire 3100, used, runs vista. the dvd rom is missing from the device manager list and I have yet to find any mention of it anywhere else. I have the c: drive and an E: drive, both with the same scematics info. Can anyone tell me how to reinstall?

Hi,

try this 1

Open device manager and go to "Actions"--> Click on "Scan for hardware

changes"

If the problem still exists, just click on the below link and follow the instructions.
