Can't sync anything into ipod touch version 4

Hi
I recently updated my ipod touch to ios 4. When the ipod finish sync, a box came up saying "error, ipod canot be detected" something like that.
Can someone help?

Dear Sir,

Please check whether the problem is not coming from the USB port itself or the cable that you are using.
