I pod with itunes 9 problems

Can some 1 please help me!!!

I am trying to sync songs to my ipod but i have uploaded the new itunes and it unlike the old versions where you were able to just click the songs you wanted to upload but now it will only like you up load by artist which really does not suit as i dont want all the songs as i just dont like them all!!!
