screen goes dark when slide it open Closed

Hello, 



Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 8.0I have a samsung impression that when I slide the screen to use the keyboard the screen goes dark.  Everything else seems to be working fine.  Is there anyway to fix this?
