Reformat problem 1

Hello,
Im trying to reformat with a Hard Drive with XPSP2 for a Compaq Presario s4040an. The problem is when we get to the part where we agree to the terms and agreement (F8), the PC reboots automatically. Please Help

Hi there,

What is the current or previous os installed on the system?please provide the required information.Are you making a downgrade from vista or windows 7 to xp?
