Hello,
I have recently bought a Toshiba Sattelite C650D laptop, and tried to put my old laptop's (ACER Aspire 5315) hard drive in. Both are SATA. When I start the Toshiba, it boots, goes to the windows logo, and restarts immediately. I did a command prompt test, and it gave me Windows Error 1312. Note: Both drives contain windows 7, and the toshiba hd is bigger (120GB - acer, 320GB - Toshiba) What do?

A Windows instillation on a hard disk is customized to the motherboard hardware. Often it will not boot when transferred to a different model PC. You can use imaging software to copy the Toshiba hard drive to the ACER drive. That will erase the contents of the ACER drive.
Good Luck
