Problem with sounds

Hello,

I have a HCL Leaptop X 22 CDP. The sound works fine during startup and shutdown and in certain programs like incredimail where the voice is clearly heard. However sound does not work in audio or video files. In some cases with the volume set to max a low audio can be heard. The device manager shows the audio driver( SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD
Audio )to be working fine. How can I resolve the issue

Dear Sridhar,

Please get to the Device Manager and see whether the Sound driver should be updated for it to function properly on your system.

Dear Ralphen,
Srry, tht did not work. The driver is already updated. The sound was working fine till abt a week back and this happenned suddenly.
