My firefox and IE do not work.

Hello,
When i am accessing into Mozila Firefox, i see the alert says that it found new update, so i click it. Then Firefox has been starting installing new update as usual, but unlucky, my screen has a problem and it cause the computer turn off very suddenly. Then i start turn it on again, but both IE and Mozila Firefox are not working. Now my laptop is connected to internet as usual. What should i do?
