Acer Aspire One

Hello, When using the wireless internet connection, it connects easily & says 'Excellent' for connectivity, but after clicking on the icon it says '0' under both Sent & Received & won't actually log into any sites. It doesn't say 'Not available' or 'Not online', as it is connected, just won't take me anywhere. Please help.
