I cannot open attachements in hotmail

I cannot open attachements in hotmail and get the following message.Word web cannot open this document due to an unkown error. Try opening in microsoft word which works. It was opening before yesterday. Any ideas

Dear Sir,

Please try deactivating your firewall and see whether the attachments get to be downloaded.
