Flashvideo stops and starts

Hello,when i try to watch a dvd or movie it starts to play when it does after about 3seconds it stops then in bout 10 seconds starts again and it does it all thrue the movie or dvd i order these movies on line to to my computer. what do i need download to make it work please help
