Help with my ipod.shows red X!!!

Hello,

I have an ipod classic 80gb 6th generation...
When i try to turn it on it shows red X with a circle i red in alot of pages that i need to restore it.. but there is another problem.. The PC,iTunes don't see the ipod.. ...

PLEASE HELP.!
