Blackerry curve memory card has errorsClosed

Hello,   
I recently bought my new phone (Blackerry curve)  
and i put in the memory card i used for my other  phone into it,  
the memory card is a 8gb sandisk.  
but when i put it into my phone it says that the memory card has errors and that i should use a error-checking utility.  
this is a pain for me becaue it will not let me have any of my old music pictures etc.  
hope someone could help?  

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 8.0

Hi there,

What can be done so that nothing is lost during this process,connect memory card to pc via a card reader then transfer all contents to pc and restore them after is nothing is lost.
