Hello,
am unable to shutdown my laptop. whenever i try to shutdown, all the running programs will get closed but the laptop never turns off, i always used to turn off my laptop by the on/off button. can you please help me ...

am using windows Xp, 2gb ram

It could be a BIOS / Power-off option issue !
