I have no Audio

Hello,
can anyone help? Ihave been trying to fix my audio for three days now, I have trid just about every solution i could find on the web. Its funny becuse this started as soon s my roxio free trial ended as wall as my warranty.
When i open up the mixer all options are gone except for speakers/ sigma tel high def controls. I am getting ready to just give up and do a total system clean and start fresh. I dont really want to do this because i am fraid i will ruin the entire operating system.
Is there a place to get free hardware for audio?
any help greatly appreciated.
