Which application are you currently using to make computer calls?please mention the application so that can guide you appropriately for the microphone issue,are you sure the microphone is good and in working condition?please try on another computer or device.

Thanks for your reply. I have purchased a subscription plan from skype. its strange that the voice chat is happening through yahoo messenger but not through skype. Please help.
